Automated Laundry / Linen Management

RFID laundry / linen distribution system - perfect for dispensing and returning pool laundry, workwear and uniforms.

Optimized Laundry / Linen Management

Streamlined management of workwear and communal laundry / linen

For laundries, hospitals and care facilities, as well as throughout industry, supplying employees with workwear (medical scrubs and disposal scrubs), pool laundry and uniforms is often a challenge.

The teXtag textile/linen management solution allows you to automate the issue, return and administration of pool laundry, linen, workwear and uniforms. Providing visibility throughout the entire textile/laundry cycle including: Centralised as well as decentralised issue and return of clothing, despatch of used clothing to the laundry and delivery of cleaned and repaired clothing.

Individually planned room solutions work like a walk-in wardrobe. When entering and leaving the stock room, employees’ clothing is automatically identified and recorded as they pass through the revolving doors.

Intelligent compartment systems facilitate the decentralised issue and return of textiles/linens/laundry and, thus, vastly reduce the time spent by employees in the stock room.

Laundry dispensing (central)

Central laundry issuance

The room solution is planned individually and functions like a walk-in wardrobe. An intelligent turnstile, the texCarousel, serves as the entrance and exit to the room solution, controlling access and allocating each removal from the room to the respective user.

Fresh clothing is conveniently delivered via the texGate using standard mesh container models. The texGate acts as a gateway in the room and registers the clothing in the mesh containers so that the newly delivered clothing is booked to the corresponding room in the system.

Laundry return (decentralized)

Laundry dispensing cabinet

Returning the laundry is child's play via our return cabinets, which are placed at logistically sensible locations. The employee simply drops in his worn laundry into the locker´s flap. The dropped laundry is automatically logged by the cabinet.

In this way, a detailed representation of the laundry cycle can be made in the system. You can see exactly which workwear is in use, so the need for workwear can be determined and stock can be optimised.

Laundry output (decentralized)

Decentralized laundry distribution

The automated issue of clothing can also take place via intelligent linen cabinets. These can be positioned in a logistically sensible way to save employees long walks to the clothes issue point. As in the texRoom, each laundry removal is automatically assigned to the respective employee.

Information and manual processes

Central operating stations

The control stations can serve as info terminals, be used for booking in when fresh laundry is delivered from the laundry, or for manually adding clothes to a texRoom. The operator terminals offer a generous touchscreen and simple user interfaces in many languages that everyone understands immediately.

Revolving entry/exit door for texRoom

The secure revolving door for accessing and departing the texRoom identifies each user using an RFID credential. As users exit through the revolving door, all textiles they've taken are promptly detected within 5 seconds, automatically updating their user account. The revolving door is equipped with an emergency stop switch, enabling the release of brakes for an immediate exit from the texRoom. This feature is also activated in the event of a power failure.

Efficient workwear delivery

The texGate serves as the entrance to the texRoom, ensuring automatic identification and inventory addition of all textiles equipped with transponders. Activated by a motion detector or an access control reader, the texGate signals its activity through a green illuminated LED bar when approached with a laundry container. This guarantees the detection of all textiles, and the texGate is compatible with commonly used mesh containers. With no maintenance-requiring components and a breathable roof, optimal air quality is maintained within the texGate at all times.

Exit and loading gate

The flapGate, serving as an exit and loading gate for the texRoom, ensures reliable identification and accounting of both user withdrawals and personnel loads. Users exit the texRoom through the flapGate, and the system automatically records and logs the garments removed, attributing them to the user's account. In case of users attempting to hoard workwear or supply colleagues beyond their quota, the flapGate can refuse exit.

Additionally, loading personnel can enter with laundry containers, facilitating the booking of clothing into the room stock. Positioned at the entrance/exit door to the loading room, the flapGate controls access permissions to this door. On the room side, a flexible motorized curtain manages access, while built-in LED bars clearly signal user access authorization.

texLoad

Enrollment of new garments

Freshly laundered items can be scheduled for pickup at the texLoad station. To initiate this, the newly laundered clothes are registered at the texLoad station and placed in a transport trolley destined for either the laundry storage or distribution area. Once the trolley is fully loaded, the registered laundry within that specific trolley is associated with the trolley transponder.

Upon arrival at the storage area, only the trolley transponder is scanned, and the garments linked to it are consequently logged into the inventory. This process is facilitated through the trolleyScan.

  • Dependable and straightforward enrollment of freshly laundered items
  • An uncomplicated and transparent procedure

User accounts

Precise policies can be set per user or per user group. The individual user accounts show the account balances at any time, which provide information about the consumption and the available quotas. As an admin, you can see exactly who has withdrawn or returned what and when. You can flexibly set limits so that your clothing stock is used according to your wishes and all employees always have enough workwear available.

You can also control who is allowed to remove their workwear from which issue cabinets or in which laundry rooms. In this way, you can also ensure that there are no queues in front of the issue point and that your employees have the shortest possible walking distances.

  • Individual accounts per employee
  • Flexible withdrawal limits
  • Admin functions in case employees overdraw their account
  • Control who can withdraw how much and from where

Item management

Garments are created as articles in the database and can be specified precisely depending on the available data, e.g. by size, color, material, etc. In addition, it is possible to create meaningful article groups to make the allocation and evaluation clear and simple.

Authorizations (which user is allowed to pick what?) can be defined very precisely. In addition to the assignment of which articles may be removed, it is also possible to define where the articles may be removed. For example, it can be precisely set that a user group is only allowed to take their clothes from the issue cabinets in their station.

  • Group items and specify them precisely
  • Reduce authorizations to specific locations
  • Monitor user accounts
  • Block output when users exceed quotas
